I know, it has been a while, but here I am again. We've had such a great time in Spain and now we're back for uhhh three weeks and it feels like such a long time ago already... where's the sun when you need it?
But now a little blog writing to remind me and show you just how great our holiday was. Of course it was hot-hot-hot, sunny all the time and the sea turned out to be a great spot for cooling down. Let me show you some photo's:
Lourdes, our first stop in the south of France, a pilgrimage site, it was somewhat rainy and cold that day... cloudy too
Beautiful things to see
The grand cathedral
Our journey through the Alps brought us an amazing site:
It was very, very foggy but that wouldn't stop the goats from eating their grass though...
We continued our journey and made it to the 'Col d'Aubisque' (mountain peak)...
... and the 'Col du Portalet' at the border France-Spain
This is at aprox. 1750 m (felt like 'Heidi' but in the Alps... haha)
Weird landscape: no trees, but still 'green' and the grey-white rocks, both small, big and huuuuge (see background!!!)
First steps into northern Spain... suddenly warm and sunny, bright blue skies

On our third day of the trip we entered Spain's capital Madrid:
where we walked around in the city centre....
...saw beautiful squares with little bars and restaurants...
...lovely appartement buildings (see those shutters?!)...
...the royal cathedral...

and the royal palace! Wauw!
And this is the last photo for today: me and Casper in the streets of Madrid. I'll be back with part two soon!
