Dear Diary,
It was a pretty quiet week in Narnia this time around. Not that nothing happened, but it was nothing special. At least my friends are sometimes able to spice things up with a quick game of hide-and-seek. Or an annoying game of seek-the-key-I-lost. I swear, these idiots can't be trusted with anything! There's a reason I never lend them any of my good stuff. Although I have to say I was happy to see that after I found Rodeo's key for him, the first thing he did was to unlock his door and go inside. I mean, it's the logical thing to do, but I guess I never hung around long enough after giving back the other keys to see what anyone did with them! Still, I do wish there was more than just hide-and-seek, though. Tag might be a little tough because of trampling my precious hybrid flowers, but... I don't know, something!
I've been continuing to catch a few new bugs and fish here and there now that it's spring. I'm sure if I was able to visit Narnia during the daylight hours more, I'd find more, but that's not always possible. I caught a clownfish and a butterfly fish in the ocean, which was pretty cool. I'm not too worried about failing to fill up the aquarium at the museum since I already got the golden fishing rod from a buddy of mine. What, it's totally not cheating!
Sunday was Mother's Day (hope you didn't forget to call yours!), and oddly enough, my mom sent me flowers! Along with this cute little note she mailed me, there were pink carnations. I've never seen any kind of carnations around here, so that's pretty awesome. I immediately told my bf to check his mailbox and plant his carnations next to mine so maybe we could get some reproducing going on. I just want more carnations, whether or not they're hybrids. I just get so paranoid about making sure they don't wilt or die, because I wouldn't know where in the world you could get more of them!
I ordered the police cap from Nook to go with the pleather vest I bought in the city last week to put together a leather daddy look, but I'm too cute to really pull it off. The only mustache I have is the big curly one I was wearing last week, and that really doesn't complete the look. So unfortunately, I guess I'll have to settle for being a leather baby.
Fang decided totally randomly that he wanted green furniture, so I told him I'd help him out. He's a good guy, so why not? Of course, you can never trust Nook to get anything good in at the same time, so I totally just ordered him the green table from the shop so there'd be no waiting. Oh, of course the green table is the cheapest item of green furniture I had in my catalog, but don't tell him that! When I gave it to him the next day, he was barely speaking English he was so excited to get some green furniture. But what did I get for my troubles? Only 712 bells. Which is like, about half of what I paid to buy it for him! Sigh. I don't know why I bother sometimes...
As I've said before, it's the little touches that really make living in Narnia such a pleasure. The way the grass squishes underfoot when it's raining, the way the flowers sway when you walk through them, and I saw another one this week when I caught a moth. It was flitting around the lit door and window of Rodeo's house one evening, just like it should be. Good thing nobody has any bug zappers around — I'd never catch anything!
One last thing before I go. This week, the bulletin board said that it was Biskit's birthday on the 13th, but apparently, Biskit didn't get the memo. I saw the note, totally went to the store and bought a mama bear because I didn't have an appropriate gift on me, but when I went to his house, Biskit totally wasn't home. I thought they were supposed to be in their place having a party? I found him wandering around, and tried to talk to him, but he was just spouting the usual nonsense. It's like he didn't even know what day it was. Crazy animals...
